10th Junior World Cup Hockey Warm-up: India humble England 3-1

Indian men’s junior hockey team humbled England 3-1 in their opening practice game ahead of the 10th Hero Junior Men's World Cup Hockey tourney at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi.

The Blueshirts took the lead through Akashdeep Singh before Talwinder Singh doubled the lead in a match that was played over three quarters of twenty minutes each.

England responded with a deficit-reducer goal as India led 2-1 at the half way mark.

Vice captain Amit Rohidas converted a penalty corner in the third and final quarter to fashion a convincing win for the hosts.

India will play their second and final practice game against Belgium on December 4.

The home side will launch their Hero Junior World Cup campaign against the Netherlands on December 6
