Talented Indian women’s hockey drag-flicker Jaspreet Kaur turns 18

Talented Indian women’s hockey fullback Jaspreet Kaur turned 18 today. The Haryana drag-flicker was one of the show-stealers in the 2013 Hockey World League Round 2 tourney in New Delhi where she was named not only the best defender but also the best player of the tournament.

A knee injury kept her on the sidelines for much of 2013. A product of Shahbad Academy, Jaspreet, who has made 52 international appearances for the senior team, will be looking to mark a comeback to the national team at the earliest.

The nippy defender, who received a cash reward of Rs 5 lakh from Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda for representing the country in the 2012 Olympic qualifiers, is a key figure of India’s backline and her return to the side will be a big boost.

Hockey Passion wishes Jaspreet Kaur Very Happy Birthday and hopes the occasion rings in more success and prosperity in his life.
