Six Indian umpires to officiate in 2nd Hockey India League

As many as six Indian umpires will officiate in the upcoming second Hero Hockey India League.

Announcing the panel of umpires for the league – Hockey India – the organizers of the league stated that seasoned international umpires from the country - Javed Shaikh and Raghu Prasad will carry out the umpire duties along with fellow countrymen - G S Sangha, Pankaj Tyagi, Ripudaman Sharma and Harshwardhan.

Craig Gribble will be the Umpires Manager for the Tournament and he will be assisted by Diego Barbas (Argentina), Eduardo Lizana (Spain) and Jakub Mejzlik (Czechoslovakia).

Bjorn Isberg, who has conducted many events as Tournament Director including 2012 London Olympics, FIH Champions Trophy tournaments at Lahore (2004), Kuala Lumpur (2007) and Auckland (2011) and FIH Indoor World Cup 2011 in Poland, will serve as tournament director in the league.

Bjorn will be supported by Claudius de Sale and Shakeel Quereshi as Assistant Tournament Directors.
