Canada eves crush Wales 4-0 to win three Test series

The Canadian women’s hockey team rounded off their tour of the UK with an emphatic 4-0 win over 28th ranked Wales. The 23rd ranked Canadians with this win have thus won the three Test series 2-1. Brienne Stairs gave Canada the lead before Poonam Sandhu extended it to give them a 2-0 lead at half-time. Brienne Stairs again got into the act and netted the third goal, while Thea Culley racked up the fourth goal.

Canada earlier drew the second Test 1-1 and had won the opening Test 2-1.

The Redskirts had earlier featured in a two Test series against third ranked England. They lost the first Test 1-6 after taking the lead and settled for a hard-fought 1-1 draw in the second Test.
