World Cup Warm-Up: Australian men pip England 3-1

England men’s hockey team frittered away a first half lead to go down 1-3 to Australia in their second and final hockey Test at Bisham Abbey. Phil Roper gave 4th ranked England the lead in the 27th minute before the world number one Australians struck twice in the second half through Kieren Govers before Chris Ciriello scored the insurance goal in the final minute of play.

The Kookaburras have thus won the two Test series 2-0 after they had edged England 2-1 in their first Test. Phil Roper again had given England the lead before goals from Kieren Govers before Chris Ciriello saw the Kookaburras pull off a narrow win.
